SPRING CHICKS !

It's been several years since we had chicks around here.  Our hens are beginning their fourth laying cycle and are not performing well at all.  Out of 13 ladies, 6 eggs are being produced.  Not so good, girls.  Maybe I shouldn't tell them that their replacements have arrived.

This is always an exciting day.

Fifteen adorables arrived safely!

They are now two-weeks old.  This one is a Columbian Wyandotte.  She is so tame that she has picked Sawyer out as her (hopefully a her) special person.  As you can see, she is wearing the grass collar he put on her.

He is an honest-to-goodness chick attracter.

This cutey is a Silver Laced Wyandotte. I'm wondering a bit about this one; possibly a rooster?   We took them outside in two buckets so they could get some fresh air.

Here is another of my chicks.  Daniel is washing dishes for Grandmama.
You just can start too soon!
